I've been removed from a Bastion of Twilight normal mode pug despite wearing Dragonslayer title and having realm first Sinestra because the raid leader "Didn't want to carry scrubs." (I was wearing off-spec gear at the time I took the raid invite.)1) Depending on the expansion, PVP gear in PVE content was a pretty standard kick. Hell, I personally have been votekicked in WoW for wearing PvP gear in a 5-man, despite it being a quality gear option in that slot at the time. Like I said though, I've seen people start in before there was anything to take responsibility for. XIV is very much a 2013 game in a lot of ways, and unlike WoW, they haven't really updated the graphics at all aside from the expected higher-quality textures with each expansion (but without altering old textures, which remain muddy and blurry.) You can see how bland and flat the default lighting is without even using reshades - just open up gpose and set your three lighting sources in a proper arrangement (you usually want one light facing the subject, a second light facing the back of the subject to create contrast, and perhaps a third light to create additional contrast on areas you'd like to showcase) and the scene looks *immensely* improved. Or GW2 was very pretty with incredible vistas when it came out.ĮSO also has incredible vistas as scenery, but sadly the character models are mediocre at best (and most animations are really bad). That's because the lighting in XIV is awful. Pretty to me is like normal korean games (or Lost Ark atm). Never really understood how people thought it was pretty.

My bigger criticism of the art is that it looks like plastic.
